BlueStar Sporthorses LLC

We are a private barn offering beginner riding lessons and quality breeding of sport horses.  BlueStar Sporthorses is proudly owned and operated by Melanie Blues and Marty LaBean.

Our primary focus is producing athletic Arabians and Half-Arabians for dressage and hunters.
We have a two select quality broodmares, including one thoroughbred
mare and one Pinto KWPN mare.

We often have a few horses for sale, ready to show or prospects.

We are conveniently located 7 miles North of US10 in Midland, MI.

Whats New -  

August 2009 - Congrulations to BlueStar riders.  At the August MMDSS - Jesi was Reserve Champion Intro Junior Rider, Cori placed in all of her training level classes!  Becky and Lea also ribboned in their Intro tests.

August 2009 - We have a new pony!  We are calling him Branco.  He is a gorgous 5 year old silver dapple pinto gelding.  He is just over 10h tall and has already completed horse camp.  He is going to be a great addition to our lesson program.

 August 2009 - Horse Camp was a success.  We had great weather Tue-Fri, Saturday for our horse show it rained and rained.  But the girls chose to ride in the rain.  They did awesome.    I am so proud of everyone.  

June 2009:  Congratulations are in order to BlueStar riders.   At the June MidMichigan Dressage Schooling Show - Cori was the Reserve Champion Training Level Junior Rider!  Jesi went in her first Intro class and took first place!  Becky and Lea also went into their first intro class and took 3rd and 4th place! 

Everyone is already talking about the August show.

 May 2009:  Dakota, Tristan and Cabbie have been accepted as therapeutic riding horses for Tall In The Saddle.  They are all going to the horse show May 30.  We are very excited to be a part of a great organization and to be able to give back.
